Overview
The Wakhan Corridor Trek is one of the finest traverse treks in the Hindukush, crossing three passes - Shah Jinali Pass (4215m), Karambar Pass (4300m), and Chilinji Pass (5160m) - from Chitral to the Chapursan Valley in Hunza. The route follows ancient merchant caravan paths along the Wakhan Corridor, through the boundless Pamir plains where Wakhi, Tajik and Kirghiz communities herd yaks and camels. This is a journey for connoisseurs of the outlandish, passing turquoise lakes, glacial valleys and peaks rising on both sides of the Wakhan.
