We have booked a 2 days tour around Hunza and Khashif, the manager of the Old Hunza Inn, showed us so many wonderful places and sights. Khashif is a very kind person, helpful wherever he can, very knowledgeable and with a very good commabd of English! We really enjoyed the tour and moments with him!

17 Years ago, we had great experience here with Leo and his father’s in this magic Old Hunza Inn, which had the most great backpackers’ atmosphere and was very famous due to LP; This August (2023) – 17 years later – we took our children all the way overland from Germany, directly to Hunza, to Old Hunza Inn. We experience the same greatness, from the great nature, and from our old friend in Old Hunza Inn. Leo, we wish all the best for your beautiful hometown, and your magic guest house! I guess you know who we are! 😉

Everytime my son and I come biking in Pakistan, we always stay here. We travel all over the North, and Old Hunza Inn, in my opinion is the best, most chilled out place ever. Rooms are clean, views are awesome, location is good, and the owner Liaqat and he’s Dad are great guys. You won’t be disappointed. Greg and Gilles 5/9/23

Best place to stay for a family. Specially their corner cottage which has two sides of view.

Quite an interesting place. It’s a small hotel located on a slope road, with many trees and spooky stairs going down into the rooms, which was giving a subtly nice feeling of a tree house….Rooms were very cozy. There are apricot and apple trees in the balcony, you can pick and eat.Team was really nice.Food was so so! Prefer outside eating.Power outage was a frequent issue. Charged my phone in car all along.Beware:Parking is very frightening though. You have to park on slope in front of the hotel, or park it in their deignated parking which is downhill – a little away from hotel. If you are a 1st timer in Hunza, The approach from KKH when you enter the Baltit fort area is quite confusing (it is walking distance from Baltit so you can say it is in the vicinity of Baltit). Google maps take you through an older road and it is very steep, the family gets scared and frightens your confidence also (lol) happened to me though.

First of all i have to stay the FOOD WAS GREAT !!. Rooms were nice and clean. The place where the rooms are located is quiet so I liked it. and there is a sitting place outside every room. It was very relaxing. I use to read book every night there with mesmerising view of stars. and then you wake up with the breathtaking view of mountains. I loved the staff, so co operating and nice. The manager is so so nice. He can speak different languages. So, quiet helpful for foreign visitors. (though I’m not a foreign). Overall loved the place. You must check out there Dowdo Soup. i loved it. The lounge area is quiet nice, I loved the theme. Overall experience was great.

Beautiful place run by a lovely and kind owner. There were a variety of rooms, and the owner accommodated us with a budget option for backpackers. I also left my charger at the hotel and the owner helped send it down to Islamabad.I absolutely loved my experience in Hunza. Wish I had stayed more, for the beautiful nature, delicious food, and kind people

What can I say about Old Hunza Adventures?

Rated 5.0 out of 5
November 28, 2023

Been here three times during the past ten years. To me this place is much more than a hotel. It is my home, my youth, my Shangri-La.

Liaqat, the founder, is my lifelong brother, who arranged my stays perfectly each time; I even got my three day traditional Hunza style wedding arranged by him in the beautiful valley. Would recommend their service to everyone who wants to explore Northern Pakistan and Hunza Valley.

Rush Phari trek

We undertook a 3 day trek with Mr. Liaqat to Rush Phari Peak and nearby Rush lake which was an exhilarating experience. We started at the town of Hoper and crossed the Barpu glacier and made our way to the first camp near Bericho Kor pastures at  3300m. The second day was a steep ascent to Rush Phari Lake where we stayed the second night (4684m). The camp was very cosy as we had great views of the stars. The next morning was a steep climb and final rock scramble up to Rush Peak where we were greeted with stunning views down the Hispar La and closer views of Diran and the Miar glacier. This view is one of the best in the Karakoram as you can see K2, Broad Peak and G1 & G2 in the distance, as well as Snow Lake. The views on the way down were also stunning as we descended back to the Barpu glacier. We crossed the white Barpu glacier which contained huge chunks of white ice and made it across in good time. Mr Liaqat and his assistant Nasrullah provided excellent guiding and we had a great adventure. I would thoroughly recommend a trip with Mr Liaqat in the nearby mountains. I also did a day hike at the back of the village that was organised from the Hunza Inn and the views up there were great as well.

Last year I did a one week trip with Old Hunza Adventures in the breathtaking Hunza Valley, and I cannot praise it enough! From the moment I arrived, I was greeted by Liaqat and his family, who made me feel right at home. The attention to detail and personalized touch really set Old Hunza Adventures apart. Moreover, the accommodations were great value, offering comfort and stunning views that exceeded my expectations. I left with unforgettable memories and a deep appreciation for the beauty of Hunza and Northern Pakistan. I can’t wait to book another adventure with them in the future!

Unforgettable time at Old Hunza Inn: Great view, friendly staff and perfect tour guide

We have spent three wonderful days at Old Huza Inn. The owner Mr. Liaqat was very hospitable and helpful at any times. We even have been invited to his brothers wedding celebration, which we enjoyed a lot. Rooms in Old Hunza Inn are clean and cozy and offers a spectacular view over Hunza valley. Another highlight of our Pakistan holidays was our 2 days trip from Karimabad up to Khunjerab Pass. with Khashif, who was our skilled driver and guide. This tour was arranged at a fair price from Old Hunza Inn. Khashif, who is a relative of Mr. Liaqat, was just so kind and nice to us at any time and we can recommend him to anyone who needs a driver/guide in and around Hunza. In general we had a great time in Pakistan, with spectacular landscape and the friendliest people we ever met. Furthermore we felt save at a.ny time!!
