Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival and Urban Exploration in Islamabad

Your journey commences with a warm welcome at Islamabad Airport, followed by a seamless transfer to your hotel. In the afternoon, dive into the vibrant heart of Islamabad and Rawalpindi on a city tour. Discover iconic gems like the magnificent Faisal Mosque, the scenic Shakar Parian viewpoint, and the emblematic Pakistan Monument. Explore Damen Koh’s historical charm, delve into the cultural riches of Lok Versa Museum, and wander through the bustling lanes of Rawalpindi’s old bazaars, including the colorful Raja Bazaar.

Day 2: Islamabad to Chilas – Gateway to Adventure

We set forth on an exhilarating drive from Islamabad to Chilas, a journey spanning 6-7 hours and covering 279 km. Our route takes us via Mansehra, Naran, and Jalkhad. After a satisfying lunch, our expedition continues towards Chilas, a 3-4 hour drive of 113.3 km, where we’ll conquer the formidable Babusar Pass at 4,173 meters.

Day 3: Chilas to Minapin – Where Mountains Converge
Altitude: 2,012m

Our journey today leads us to Minapin, a 5-6 hour drive. Along the way, we’ll pause at the junction point of three majestic mountain ranges: the Karakorum, Himalaya, and Hindukush. At Thalichi, we’ll capture the breathtaking Nanga Parbat at 8,126m with our cameras and, later, soak in the panoramic views at Rakaposhi viewpoint.

Day 4: Minapin to Hapakun – Trekking into Nature’s Heart
Altitude: 2,814m

We embark on a 4-5 hour trek from Minapin to Hapakun, covering 5.8km. Starting behind the Minapin village, we cross a bridge over the Minapin River, venturing to its true left bank. As we ascend through the stepped path, sweeping vistas of the Minapin Glacier and the Rakaposhi-Diran crest line unfold. After five hours of ascent, we reach the Hapakun huts.

Day 5: Hapakun to Rakaposhi BC – Ascending to Serenity
Altitude: 3,261m

Our trek continues as we ascend to Rakaposhi Base Camp, a 3-4 hour journey covering 3km. Through a forested trail, we’re treated to magnificent views of Diran Peak. The lush green Tagaphari meadow and summer huts offer resplendent views of Batura peaks, Shispar Peak, and Ultar Peaks as we walk up the ridge.

Day 6: Excursion to Diran Peak Base Camp – Peaks and Exploration
Altitude: 2,814m

An excursion to Diran Peak Base Camp, standing at an altitude of 3,650m, awaits. After this adventure, we trek back to Hapakun, where we’ll spend the night.

Day 7: Hapakun to Minapin and Drive to Karimabad – From Peaks to Culture
Altitude: 2,500m

We trek down to Minapin village in 3 hours, followed by a 1-hour drive to Karimabad.

Day 8: Karimabad Exploration – Forts and Carpentry
Altitude: 2,500m

In Day 8 we get to explore the stunning Hunza Valley. Karimabad sits on a hillside, offering breathtaking views of the lush valley below, with its intricate irrigation system and glimpses of majestic snow-covered mountains. We’ll visit the historic Altit Fort and Baltit Fort, both from the 13th century. Baltit Fort, once a royal residence, is now a museum, and Altit Fort sits dramatically above the Hunza River. Later, we’ll take a scenic drive to Gilgit, continuing our journey through this captivating region.

Day 9: Visit Attaabad Lake and Passu cones

We embark on a 1-hour drive to Passu, with stops at Attabad Lake, Borith Lake, Gulmit village, Passu white Glacier, Passu village, and Hussani village with its iconic suspension bridge.

Day 10: Karimabad to Naran leads us to Capital city

We journey to Naran, covering 355 km, with a spectacular drive via Babusar Pass at 4,173m. En route, we pause at various viewpoints for photography and refreshments.

Day 11: Fly Back Home – Farewell Pakistan
